Tengrinews.kz – A large batch of uniforms bearing the insignia of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) was prevented from being illegally imported at the Khorgos International Center for Border Cooperation (ICBC) customs post, according to the State Revenue Committee (SRC).
The uniforms with Polisia identification marks were discovered during customs and border control procedures.
"The clothing was found during the inspection of a vehicle transporting luggage from visitors crossing from the Chinese side to the Kazakh side of the ICBC. A total of 71 pieces of luggage weighing 1,775 kilograms were seized," the statement said.
The committee emphasized that uniforms bearing official MIA insignia are not considered personal items and can only be imported under special regulations.
