Tengrinews.kz - A three-storey building caught fire in the Medeu district of Almaty, eyewitnesses told the editorial office and shared footage from the scene.
The video shows large flames engulfing the building as fire trucks rush to the location.
According to Almaty's Department of Emergency Situations, the fire occurred on Kerey-Zhanibek Khans Street.
"On May 4 at 7:36 p.m., DES personnel and equipment were dispatched to the Medeu district, Kerey-Zhanibek Khans Street, where at 8:18 p.m. the roof fire of a three-storey building was localized. The preliminary area affected is over 250 square meters," the department said.
No injuries were reported, officials confirmed.
Earlier, a fire broke out near the Alatau shopping mall in Almaty's Alatau district.
