Tengrinews.kz – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio made a statement on cooperation during talks with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the U.S. Secretary of State emphasized the need to further advance bilateral relations and strengthen mutual ties.
“The United States hopes to enhance cooperation with Kazakhstan to expand economic opportunities of mutual interest,” said Marco Rubio during the meeting in Washington.
The two sides discussed issues of trade and investment, regional security, and logistics. They also addressed topics related to international security and combating illegal migration.
Particular attention was given to attracting advanced American technologies and strengthening business ties.
“Kazakhstan is committed to achieving practical results with the United States to promote mutually beneficial partnership,” stated Murat Nurtleu.
Additionally, Kazakhstan’s foreign minister emphasized the strategic role of the country in ensuring the stability of supply chains for energy resources and critical minerals.

Both parties also stressed the importance of coordination within the “C5+1” dialogue platform, which includes the U.S. and five Central Asian countries.
