Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan has launched the procurement of medicines and medical devices for 2027. The Ministry of Health reported that the campaign began earlier than usual for the first time to ensure that medical organizations receive necessary drugs without delay at the start of the year.
Medicine procurement for 2027 launched three months ahead of schedule
The procurement campaign began on July 1, 2026—three months earlier than planned. For inpatient medical care, the process was initiated as early as June 22.
According to the ministry, the early start will allow for the prompt signing of supplier contracts and ensure that necessary stocks are delivered to medical facilities in the first days of 2027.
"To prepare for the campaign launch, the Ministry of Health conducted extensive work to update the regulatory framework, resolve pricing issues, and organize regional requirements. Regional health departments have submitted applications accounting for the relevant organizations, volumes, and delivery schedules," the statement reads.
Plans for 2027 include the procurement of 2,174 items of medicines and medical devices.
