Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Almaty and two other cities.
"On October 29, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in Aktobe, Atyrau, and Almaty, which could lead to air pollution," the statement said.
These conditions arise from a combination of short-term meteorological factors, including calm winds, light breezes, fog, and inversion layers, which contribute to the buildup of pollutants in the lower atmospheric layer.
Previously, meteorologists shared a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for the coming days.
In Almaty:
October 29: Cloudy skies with no precipitation and fog expected in the evening. Winds from the southwest at 3-8 m/s, with temperatures of 1-3°C at night and 7-9°C during the day.
October 30: Partly cloudy with no precipitation. Northeast winds at 2-7 m/s, with temperatures of 0-2°C at night and 8-10°C during the day.
October 31: Partly cloudy with no precipitation. East winds at 2-7 m/s, with temperatures of 1-3°C at night and 11-13°C during the day.
