Tengrinews.kz - A foreigner who was on the international wanted list has been detained in Kazakhstan, according to Polisia.kz. He was caught at the "Zhaisan" railway checkpoint in the Aktobe region.
The Uzbek national was being sought by the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova for the illegal transportation of narcotic drugs.
It was discovered that in 2013, the suspect, along with others, organized an international drug trafficking operation. When attempting to enter Moldova, he was found with 46 grams of heroin. The man is currently being held in a temporary detention facility.
Earlier, at the request of Interpol Kazakhstan, a 25-year-old Kazakh national, wanted internationally for murder, was detained at Baku International Airport.
