Tengrinews.kz - A Kazakh airline has issued a reminder for passengers traveling to Jeddah and Medina.

The announcement was made on Air Astana's official Telegram channel.

"Starting from February 10, all passengers aged one year and older intending to perform Umrah and Hajj must have a vaccination certificate against meningococcal infection," the airline stated.

The advisory also outlines specific vaccination requirements.

"Meningococcal quadrivalent (ACYW-135) polysaccharide vaccine, obtained within the last 3 years and at least 10 days before arrival, or meningococcal quadrivalent (ACYW-135) conjugate vaccine, obtained within the last 5 years and at least 10 days before arrival," the company’s statement says.

The airline emphasized that additional information is available on the official website of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health.
