Monthly inflation in Kazakhstan
According to the National Statistics Bureau, the monthly consumer price index in February was 1.5% (in January it was 1.1%).
Over the month, the price level for food products increased by 1.5%, for paid services - by 2.1%, non-food products - by 1%.
Inflation over the year in Kazakhstan
Inflation in Kazakhstan has accelerated. Over the year, it was 9.4% (in January - 8.9%).
Prices for paid services over the year increased by 14.1%, non-food products - by 8.7%, food products - by 6.5%.
How prices have changed over the year: what has increased in price the most
Over the year, utility rates have increased significantly:
- Cold water has increased in price by 70.7%
- Electricity - by 21%
- Heating - by 18.2%
- Water disposal - by 17.3%
- Hot water - by 14.5%
- Gas - by 13.2%
- Garbage removal - by 11.1%
The following services also became more expensive:
- Rail passenger transport - by 20%
- Cellular communications - by 19.5%
- Medical laboratories and X-ray rooms - by 18.4%
- Sending parcels - by 17.7%
- Initial appointment with a doctor - by 15.5%
Medicine prices increased:
- Corvalol - by 33.2%
- Kanefron - by 26.9%
The most expensive products were:
- laptops - by 67.2%
- kitchen stove - by 55.4%
- wireless headphones - by 47.7%
- tablet - by 46.8%
Food prices changed.
- Potatoes have risen in price by 62.1%
- Onions - by 27.3%
- Cabbage - by 20.2%
- Garlic - by 18.3%
- Beetroot - by 15.2%
At the same time, some products, on the contrary, have become cheaper over the year:
- buckwheat - by 20.4%
- carrots - by 6.6%
- rice - by 5.7%
- eggs - by 5.3%.
Among the regions, the highest monthly inflation, exceeding the national average, was in Astana (2.9%), and the lowest was in the Abai and Kyzylorda regions (0.7% each).
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin stated that due to the increase in tax revenues, additional inflation is expected to reach up to three percent.
