Extra day off for Capital City Day
In July 2025, citizens will enjoy long weekend holidays in honor of Capital City Day, one of Kazakhstan's main public holidays. It’s celebrated on July 6 and marks the transfer of the capital from Almaty to Astana in 1998.
Across the country, large-scale festivities are held, especially in Astana: concerts, festivals, street fairs, and exhibitions are planned.
