Astana Airport has addressed passengers

Tengrinews.kz — Astana Airport has urged passengers to check their flight status in advance.

According to the airport’s press service, as of 10:25 AM, delays were recorded for seven arriving flights, as well as one flight cancellation.

“The main reason for the delays is the late arrival of aircraft from departure airports. The flight cancellation is linked to adverse weather conditions at Taldykorgan Airport, which temporarily did not accept aircraft. Overnight, flight delays were also observed due to unfavorable weather and a blizzard, which made de-icing procedures temporarily impossible,” the airport explained.

Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights with airlines and plan their arrival time at the airport taking possible changes into account.

“At present, the airport is operating as normal, all services are functioning, and departures and arrivals are being carried out according to the current schedule, with possible adjustments by airlines,” the press service noted.

According to the online departure board at the time of publication, the delayed arriving flights are:

• FlyArystan, FS 7342 (Kostanay) — 21-minute delay;
• Air Astana, KC 621 (Almaty) — 27-minute delay;
• Air Astana, KC 982 (Atyrau) — 1 hour 42 minutes delay;
• Air Astana, KC 641 (Almaty) — 52-minute delay;
• FlyArystan, FS 7906 (Kutaisi) — 7-minute delay.

The canceled arriving flight is:

• QazaqAir, IQ 430 (Taldykorgan).

No delays have been recorded for departures. Canceled departing flights include:

• Qazaq Air, IQ 429 (Taldykorgan) — canceled;
• Red Wings, WZ 1098 (Yekaterinburg) — canceled;
• Scat, DV 475 (Sanya) — canceled;
• Scat, DV 813 (Moscow–Vnukovo) — canceled.

All other flights are operating on time or with minor schedule adjustments.
