Tengrinews.kz — Airports and airlines will step up operations during the holiday period and arrange 100 additional flights, citing the Ministry of Transport.

It is reported that, during the holidays, to meet increased demand, 100 additional flights are planned on the following routes:
- Astana – Almaty;
- Almaty – Uralsk;
- Almaty – Semey;
- Astana – Turkestan;
- Astana – Aktobe;
- Almaty – Aktau;
- Almaty – Aktobe;
- Astana – Shymkent.
To this end, Vice Minister of Transport Talgat Lastaev held a meeting with the management of Air Astana, FlyArystan, SCAT, VietJet Qazaqstan, as well as the airports of Astana and Almaty.
He instructed aviation inspectors to set up special groups to monitor airport operations during the holiday period.
“So that they are present at the major airports of Astana and Almaty to ensure the protection of passengers’ rights and compliance with flight punctuality,” the statement said.
Airlines and airports were instructed to:
- Prepare backup aircraft and additional equipment so flights are not delayed.
- Increase the number of experienced staff and provide passengers with hot meals and drinks if flights are delayed.
- Quickly inform passengers of any delays via websites, mobile apps, social media, airport information boards, and the media.
“All measures taken by airlines and airports are aimed first and foremost at flight safety; therefore, we ask passengers to be understanding about flight delays caused by objective reasons,” the press service noted.
