Route description:
The monument to Abai Kunanbayev, the great Kazakh poet, writer, and founder of modern Kazakh literature, is located on the square and avenue of the same name. The monument to the famous composer Mukan Tulebaev was built to the west of the avenue.
Tulebaeva Street and its green alley are famous for their unique atmosphere and history. Houses here are like the book pages, perpetuating the lives of many outstanding personalities - writers, musicians, scientists, and politicians.
If you walk down Tulebaev Street, at the intersection with Kabanbai Batyr Street, you will find a sculpture of Viktor Tsoi, the legendary Soviet rock musician.
On the crossing of Zhambyl Street and Dostyk Avenue, there is a monument to the national akyn Zhambyl Zhabayev, whose works were translated into 160 world languages.
The route ends with a sculpture of the first Kazakh scientist-educator, Shokan Ualikhanov.
