Route description:

This route starts at the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth, named after Gabit Musrepov. There is a unique work by the talented graphic artist Evgeny Sidorkin, an image of a girl in Kazakh national clothes, that decorates the theater pediment.

The next point on the route is the Symbat fashion house. Famous artists Moldakhmet Kenbaev and Nikolai Tsivchinsky created a stained-glass window with an image of the bride.

The Otrar Hotel is located further along the route. The hotel's interior was designed by the architect Arystan Kainarbaev. The panel on the first floor shows important structures and household items - the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yassawi, a rocket symbolizing Baikonur, and folk instruments.

The "Oriental Calendar" fountain near the building of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the work of monumental artist Vladimir Tverdokhlebov. The fountain is decorated with 12 figures symbolizing the signs of the zodiac, and the bottom of the fountain is lined with mosaics with mermaids and fish.

The Almaty Hotel was built in 1967. The architects created an impressive composition. Its base, an eight-story building curved in the middle, opens up the space in front of the theater square.

The composition of the panel "The Great Silk Road," created in 2004 by Vladimir Tverdokhlebov, reflects the connection between the past and the present.
