What to do in Almaty with children: tips for tourists

If you go on a trip with children, then the question arises particularly acutely: would they be interested in anything or how to keep them entertained? There are enough options for children to have fun in Almaty, so let's look at the best of them.

• Having fun at the parks

In larger parks in the city, playgrounds, areas for skateboarding, and scooters are provided for young visitors for free. Attractions, rope parks, and other activities may have a tuition fee. So, for example, in the Central Recreation Park at Gogol 1, there are more than a dozen attractions, including a Ferris wheel, karting, a Dino park, and a delphinium. Plenty of cafes will treat you to Oriental and European cuisine. In the summer, there is a water park where you can ride catamarans. And in winter, an ice skating rink is available.

So you can have fun here with your child. The main task of the rope attraction is that it is one of the highest rope parks in the world. None of the routes require extensive physical preparation and are accessible to everyone.

Kazakh Alpine park is located on the territory of the Shymbulak resort. Here you can find out if you have a fear of heights and test your physical strength. The park includes four attractions: a rope bridge, a fall, a sky swing and a climbing wall. • Entertainment in shopping malls

All year round, fun and amusing activities for children are available in major shopping and entertainment centers in Almaty (Shopping and Entertainment Centers).

TeikaBOOM. The complex is divided into three sections: a playfield, a kid’s cafe, and a family restaurant. In the playing area, there are a lot of slides, ball pits, and labyrinths. The advantage of the center is that while the children are playing, parents can watch them from a cafe or restaurant above. They offer European cuisine and a children's menu.
