The Ethnic Village "Huns"
This village is located 53 kilometers away from Almaty, beyond Talgar. Here, you can get acquainted with the culture and customs of the Kazakh people while enjoying the marvelous view of Trans-Ili Alatau. Guests are accommodated in so-called “yurtages” - national Kazakh houses of nomads, but equipped with all the necessary stuff such as air-conditioning, a bathroom, and a heater.

The Nomad Ethnic Center is 50 kilometers from Almaty, towards Shamalgan village. The founders of the ethnic center emphasize the high authenticity of the yurts in which they offer accommodation to tourists. All items representing the ancient life of nomads are also as close as possible to the life conditions of our ancestors and were made by the skillful hands of craftsmen.
Up to 50 various dishes of Kazakh national cuisine are offered to visitors, including beshbarmak, kuyrdak, Kazakh meat, karyn, and others. Not only do chefs prepare food, but they also share the secrets of cooking with visitors, more than that, inviting them to participate in cooking master classes.
People come here to watch the spectacular improvised battles of the Kazakhs of past times. You can even ride a horse or walk along the Ushkonyr plateau, enjoying its beautiful views.
Aul Resort
This place is located 36 kilometers from Almaty, also the same way towards Shamalgan village. Here, you can find 11 yurts with all modern conveniences. Near the resting area, there are maral and trout farms. Guests have access to a horse ride, a sauna, and relaxing by the pool. Of course, visitors here are also treated to Kazakh national cuisine.

The Orman village
A small yurt village - six residential yurts - is located in the Oi-Qaragai complex (Lesnaya Skazka). Yurts are made from ecologically friendly traditional materials and equipped with all modern amenities for a comfortable stay. Thus, each yurt has heated floors.
You can try Kazakh cuisine at the "Ak Aul" restaurant, which is also on the territory of a complex. It is a yurt with a diameter of almost 20 meters that can accommodate up to 200 people. This yurt is the largest one in Central Asia.

The Shymbulak Yurt
This place is a base camp at 3200 meters above sea level. Located on the Shymbulak resort, it is the highest mountain place in Kazakhstan, where you can relax in a yurt, eat, and stay overnight.
