History of this place
This street was formed in the second half of the 19th century on the territory of the city of Verny, crossing its center from north to south. During its massive reconstruction, under the thickness of the asphalt, an old cobblestone pavement dating back to the 1930s of the 20th century was discovered.
Today, everyone has the opportunity to walk along this historical pedestrian zone and literally touch the past. Panfilov Street received its current name in 1945 in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Ivan Vasilievich Panfilov.
