What’s interesting about it?

The Alma-Arasan Gorge is a perfect place for a family holiday in nature. You can have a picnic, breathe in the fresh mountain air, or just take a walk. The left tributary of the Bolshaya Almatinka River, the Prokhodnaya River, flows through the Alma-Arasan tract.

What kind of entertainment is there?

Depending on the holiday you choose, for example, you can go trekking to the beautiful Maiden’s Tears waterfall, relax in one of the cafes, or go to the hot springs. The water temperature in the springs ranges from 20.5 to 39.7 degrees Celsius. In its healing qualities, the water reminds one of the famous French waters of the Pyrenean type.

Near the Alma-Arasan Gorge, there is the Big Almaty Gorge. You can visit its popular spots, including Big Almaty Lake (BAL), Big Almaty Peak (BAP), and the Tien Shan Astronomical Observatory.

When is the best time to visit?
