The Kazakh State Circus has earned worldwide fame thanks to its outstanding training school for circus riders. The unique art of horse riding, which combines acrobatics, body plasticity, and tricks on moving horses, has gained popularity on the world stage.
History of this place
The Almaty Circus team was first formed in 1970. Young and talented circus artists who had just graduated from the Moscow Circus School and the Saratov and Almaty circus studios joined its ranks. The group performed for the first time on June 24, 1970, in Samara and immediately gained fame.
In 1972, the Almaty Circus received its building. The appearance of the circus combines modern forms with the traditional cultural motives of Kazakhstan. Its unique appearance and special charm visually distinguish it and, at the same time, organically fit it into the city landscape.

In addition to its unique program, the circus regularly hosts international festivals, and foreign artists also visit the circus on tour. All programs are available for children of any age; children under 4 have free admission.
