What’s interesting about it?
An exhibition dedicated to the famous 316th Infantry Division under the command of Major General I.V. Panfilov is an important part of the Military History Museum. Here, you can see the diorama “Battle of Moscow,” relics from the Brest Fortress, as well as the personal belongings of soldiers. The museum area is more than 2000 square meters. You can see weapons that came to us from the Soviet era.
Moreover, the Military History Museum covers the topic of the Afghan War, including an exclusive hall of fame dedicated to the Kazakhs who died in Afghanistan.
How did it appear?
The Military History Museum was opened in 1965, located in the building of the Ykylas Museum of Folk Musical Instruments. The museum moved to the new monumental building, the House of Officers, in 1978.
How to visit?
The museum is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 17.00 and from 10.00 to 16.00 on Saturday. The entrance is free.
