What’s interesting about it?

The museum can be amusing and significant not only for historians and researchers but also for everyone passionate about the history of Kazakhstan, its struggle for independence, and its cultural heritage. The Akhmet Baitursynov Museum provides a unique opportunity to touch the history of our homeland through the prism of the life and work of the outstanding Kazakh leader.

The museum's collection includes about 500 materials dedicated to the life and scientific work of the scientist. Among them are more than 300 original documents from the state archive, as well as 12 personal photographs and 27 group photographs.

How did it appear?

Akhmet Baitursynov, with his family, lived in this house from 1933 to 1937, which is considered a model of merchant construction. After he was rehabilitated as a public and political figure in 1988, the house was recognized as a historical and architectural monument. A museum was opened here in 1993.

How to visit?

The museum operates according to the schedule: from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00-19:00. The entrance fee costs from 100 to 500 tenge.
