An office building next to Almaty's Stolichnyi supermarket has caught fire, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Almaty Emergency Situations Department. 45 people have been evacuated.
A message about the fire in the two-storey building at the crossing of Abylai khan and Kabanbai batyr streets was received by the emergency services at 01:40 p.m. According to the authority, firefighters are working at the accident site. The fire area and the sources have not been defined yet. No casualties have been reported. According to the witnesses, the supermarket is currently closed.
