Three young women died and one was seriously injured in a shoking car accident in Almaty, the Accidents Territory show of STV channel reports. The accident happened at night on February 21 at the crossing of Abay and Mukanov streets from the side of Mukhtar Auezov theater. The black Toyota Camry 40, moving in Western direction got off the road and smashed first into a metal advertisement box then into a concrete lighting pole. The force of the crash ripped the car in halves. One of the young women managed to survive. She is either the driver or the front passenger of the car. She was hospitalized with chest injuries, multiple fractures, brain and other injuries. To take the bodies out of the back seat, the rescuers had to cut open what remained of the car using hydraulic shears and spreading tools. The victims were all between 19 to 23 years old. Their student IDs were found at the accident site. According to the preliminary information, the driver violated the speed limit. The car was moving at a high speed “far more than 100 km/h”.
