One Kazakhstan and two Dutch citizens tried to penetrate into Chernobyl

Two Dutch citizens and one citizen of Kazakhstan attempted to illegally cross the restricted area around Chernobyl by car, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing Kiev Oblast Department of Ukrainian Interior Ministry. "Police troops protecting the exclusion zone apprehended Volkswagen Golf with a foreign plate number at the border of 30km Chernobyl exclusion zone close to Terekh village of Ivankovskiy region of Kiev oblast. The car tried to illegally cross the restricted territory damaging the fencing in the attempt," the message states. "With a translator's help the authorities explained the intruders that Ukrainian legislation strictly prohibited to cross Chernobyl exclusion and compulsory evacuation zone. Besides, the young men seriously risked their health and lives, when violating the law," the police stressed. A check is held in relation to the incident.
