Tengrinews.kz - The National Security Committee (NSC) of Kazakhstan, in collaboration with the Financial Monitoring Agency, has shut down eight illegal casinos operating on the Kazakh side of the Khorgos Border Crossing Point.

Tengrinews.kz - The National Security Committee (NSC) of Kazakhstan, in collaboration with the Financial Monitoring Agency, has shut down eight illegal casinos operating on the Kazakh side of the Khorgos Border Crossing Point.

On July 18, 38 individuals were detained, including 32 foreigners and 6 Kazakh citizens, suspected of involvement in this illegal activity.

"During the searches, slot machines, gambling equipment, and large sums of money were seized. The Economic Investigations Department of Zhetysu is conducting a pre-trial investigation under Article 307, organization of illegal gambling business," the NSC stated.

Other information is not subject to disclosure.
