Kazakhstan’s Albert Linder 69kg weightlifter became a bronze prize winner in the up to 17 age group at the Junior World Weightlifting Championship, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Vesti.kz. The 16-y.o. Linder, resident of Almaty oblast, lifted 135 kilograms in snatch and 162 kilograms in clean and jerk. Iraq’s Mohammed Karrar Kadhum won the gold medal of the Championship weight league. He lifted up 311 kilograms (143 + 168) after two exercises. 14-y.o. Khetag Hugayev of Russia won a silver medal by lifting 298 kilograms (134 + 164). He and Linder were in close competition for the second place. But the Russian athlete's last clean and jerk attempt got him 1 kg ahead. One more Kazakhstan’s weightlifter 17-y.o. Aydar Kazov competed in the event and won the sixth place. He lifted the total of 187 kilograms (125 + 162).
