Four Kazakhstan boxers have reached the World Championship semi-final that takes place in Baku, Azerbaijan this week, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Naringe.kz. Gani Zhaylauov (under 60 kilos weight league) has won over Indian Jai Bhagwan by a narrow margin 11:10 in evening sports program. Serik Sapiyev, two-time world champion and Kazakhstan national team's leader proved to be stronger than American Errol Spence, 20:10. Super heavy-weight Ivan Dychko (over 91 kilos weight league) hardly managed to secure a victory over Croatian Filip Hrgovic. Ivan's opponent managed to knock him down twice, however, Dychko won the fight 20:16. Kazakhstan residents were not so successful earlier, during the daytime sports program. Vasiliy Levit (under 91 kilos weight league) lost the fight against Chinese Hay Nhin Vang 9:11. Danabek Suzhanov (under 75 kilos weight league) yield the victory to Brazilian Esciva Falcao 10:13. Adilbek Niyazymbetov (under 81 kilos weight league) was the only Kazakhstan winner of the daytime program. He won over Chinese Mengo Fanlongo 12:5.
