Former Kazakhstan Vice-PM Krymbek Kusherbayev replaced Bolatbek Kuandykov in his position of Akim (Governor) of Kyzylorda oblast, Tengrinews.kz reports. Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov introduced the new Akim to the oblast's administration. According to the Government's press-service, Akhmetov read out the President's letter to Maslikhat (local executive body) suggesting to appoint Krymbek Kusherbayev to the position of the oblast's Akim. The deputies supported the suggested candidate. "The goal of the new Akim is to ensure further development of the regional economy and effectively implement the President's instructions," the Prime-Minister said. Kusherbayev expressed gratitude to the President for his high trust. The Prime-Minister thanked the former Akim Bolatbek Kuandykov for his work stressing that under his ledadership the oblast was developing dynamically with certain results in social sector and implementation of the regional development program went as planned. Kuandykov served as Akim of the oblast since May 2008. Before that he worked as the state inspector of the state control department and the organizational-personnel department of the President's Administration and earlier he used to be Vice-Minister of Emergency Situations. On January 16 Krymbek Kusherbayev was released from his position of deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan. He was appointed to this position in September 2012. Before this appointment he used the serve as Kazakhstan President's Advisor. We worked as Minister of Education, Culture and Healthcare of Kazakhstan from October 1997 to January 1999. After the ministry was reorganized in January 1999, he was appointed Minister of Healthcare, Education and Sport. Starting from October 1999 he worked as Minister of Education and Science. On December 18, 2000 he was appointed Akim of West-Kazakhstan oblast. Starting from November 2003, he worked as Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia, Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Finland (combining duties) and Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia (combining duties). On January 24, 2006 he was appointed Akim of Mangistau oblast. On December 22, 2011 he resigned from this post after the clashes in Zhanaozen. On July 13, 2012 he was appointed Kazakhstan President's advisor.
