Kazakhstan exporters have obtained the right to use the ILAC-MRA-NCA compination certification mark that means correspondence to the international technical regulations, KazTAG reports, citing Nurmukhambet Abdibekov, Kazakhstani Vice-Minister of Industry and New Technologies. According to Abdibekov, Kazakhstan's major achievement in 2010 was its ascent into the ILAC organization and signing of the mutual recognition agreement. The ILAC-MRA-NCA compination certification mark will be used in test certificates by laboratories that are certified with the National Certification Center (NCC). These test certificates will be recognized by all the countries that signed the mutual ILAC (MRA) recognition agreement. This will reduce Kazakh exporters' expenditures and time for additional procedures related to attestation of their products. ILAC and National Certification Center signed a license agreement on the ILAC mark use on February 2011, said Timur Nurashev, Director General of the National Certification Center. “We'll finish all the required procedures during the first half of the year. Then everything will depend on the laboratories. In the second half of this year they will be able to officially approach us,” Nurashev said. ILAC - the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation - is an international cooperation of laboratory and inspection accreditation bodies formed more than 30 years ago to help remove technical barriers to trade. It includes 70 agencies from 58 countries.
