Tengrinews.kz – On one of the most important and symbolic national holidays in the United States — Independence Day (July 4) — protests against President Donald Trump are set to take place, according to Axios.
The demonstrations will be held under the nationwide initiative "Free America", organized by the Women’s March movement. This new wave of protests comes amid growing dissatisfaction with Trump’s policies.
Women’s March has called on supporters to organize rallies, marches, banner hangings, street parades, art actions, barbecues, dance protests, and block parties.
Organizers emphasized that "the dream of American freedom belongs to all of us" and encouraged people to take to the streets "with songs of freedom and joy."
Participants will protest against politics of fear, poverty, the concentration of power among billionaires, and violations of democratic rights.
In total, around 200 events are planned in cities such as Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, and Trinity.

The Women’s March is one of the largest human rights movements in the U.S., founded in 2017 as a protest against Donald Trump’s policies. A massive demonstration took place in Washington, D.C., and in hundreds of other American cities shortly after the inauguration of the 45th U.S. president. Around 2 million people participated in that march.
