OSCE observers asked journalists to leave the meeting
Head of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kazakhstan met with a group of foreign observers, Tengrinews.kz correspondent reported yesterday.
At meeting Kuandyk Turgankulov, Head of the CEC, updated the head of the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission in Kazakhstan Ambassador Daan Everts on the course of the election campaign.
Kuandyk Turgankulov said that the campaigning entered its middle phased.
He commented on the time frame set for the election campaigning by saying that in spite of the concerns of some of the presidential candidates, those of them who are active in their campaigning are meeting the schedule alright.
Then Kuandyk Turgankulov yielded the floor to Ambassador Daan Everts who heads the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission in Kazakhstan, but before starting his speech Ambassador asked the journalists to leave the meeting room saying that he wanted to have a working meeting with the members of the CEC.
