Kazakhstan officials drink 1 billion tenge worth of tea with sweets in 10 months

Kazakhstan state officials have drunk almost 1 billion tenge ($6.5 million) worth of tea with sweets since the beginning of the year ($6.5 million), Tengrinews reports citing the press-service of the Electronic Commerce Center. "According to state procurement web-portal, procurement of sweets (chocolate, zephyr, halva, caramel, Turkish delights and etc.) and tea by the Kazakhstan state authorities during the period of January-November 2013 amounted to 954 million tenge ($6.2 million) ," the press-service said. The total of 634 million tenge ($4.1 million) was spent on sweets and the total of 320 million tenge ($2 million) was spent on tea. The official number of state officials in Kazakhstan made 91 077 people as of January 2013. This means that one employ has eaten sweets and drank tea worth 10 500 tenge ($68) since the beginning of the year, this makes 1050 tenge ($6.8) per person per month.
