Foreign tourists are unhappy about public toilets in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing director of Kazakhstan Tourist Association Rashida Saikenova as saying at the government meeting. She addressed her complaint to the regional authorities during discussion of development of eco tourism in Kazakhstan. “It is really necessary to create good-quality roadside infrastructure along West Europe – West China road. I am sorry about the prosaic details, but I would like to pay everyone’s attention to toilets. Many foreign tourists complain about quality of our toilets or their complete absence,” Rashida Shaikenova said. The government discussed the state program for development tourism until 2020. Ministry of Industry and New Technologies forecasts annual inflow of tourists at around 200 million people. Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov instructed the government to develop a program for attraction of tourists from the Persian Gulf and Middle East to South-Kazakhstan oblast and development of medical tourism to Astana.
