There were junior, veterans, handicapped, men’s and women’s, left and right hand tournaments in different weight leagues. Kazakhstan team had been expected to become the leader of the competition before the start of the Championship. The next World Arm-Wrestling Championship will be held in Brazil in 2012. Alfred Clement, president of World Arm-Wrestling Federation (WAF), said that Kazakhstan might host the World Championship again in several years.
