Kazakhstani sportswoman became World Powerlifting champion

Natalia Kuzmina, Kazakhstani sportswoman from Kostanay and an alumni of Rudnyi Children and Youth Sport's School became World Powerlifting Champion, Tengrinews.kz reports, quoting KazTAG. “Natalya masterfully left behind her rivals in her 84 kilos weight league and won the gold medal. Her total made 560 kilos! Natalya lifted 230 kilos in snatch, 125 kilos in bench press and 205 kilos in deadlift,” Maxim Lysenko, the trainer said. The World Junior Powerlifting Championship was held in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Athletes from 30 countries took part in the world competition. 15 sportsmen represented Kazakhstan national team at the event.
