At first GGG dropped Osamanu with a strong jab in the 1st round. Two precise left hooks brought Osamanu down again in the 6th round. In the 7th round, Golovkin connected a hard jab and Ozzie Adams touched the canvas for the third time, and the referee announces a TKO. It added a new win to Golovkin’s perfectly unbeaten record bringing it to 29-0 (26KO). Osamanu's rating went down to 22-4 (16KO).
“From the opening round I was comfortable with the fight and felt good about my power and the pace of the fight. He was a tough opponent, but I was never hurt,” Golovkin said in a statement released by K2 Promotions.
Undefeated Tripple G now wants to fight against Sergio Martinez to prove that he is the best in the middleweight category.
