Kazakhstan’s chess player Dinara Saduakassova was awarded the Women's International Grand Master title at the 2012 World Chess Olympiad that was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on August 28 – September 9, 2012, Tengrinews.kz reports.
15-y.o. Saduakassova won 7 points out of 9. She managed to draw a tie with China’s Ju Wenjun who was ranked 312 points higher than Dinara (Ju Wenjuin -2528, Saduakassova Dinara -2216). As a result of the successful performance Saduakassova was awarded with the Women's International Grand Master title. Moreover, Kazakhstan’s chess-player was the youngest participant of the Olympiad.
Earlier Saduakasova became third at the 15th International Chess Festival, part of Czech Tour 2012/2013 Series, held in the Czech Republic on August 1-9. Later on she won Chelyabinsk International Tournament among women. Saduakasova was the only female chess player who participated in the World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships Semi-Finals that was held in Astana on July 1-5, 2012.
Dinara Saduakassova is a two-time world champion; she won her first champion’s title in 2010 in up to 14 age group and her second tilte in 2012 in up to 17 age group. Moreover, she is a triple world and Asian Vice-Champion. She became a chess Master and Kazakhstan Master of Sport when she was 13. Saduakassova got 45 medals, including awards and medals from numerous Kazakhstan Chess Championships and International tournaments.
