6-y.o. Kokshetau resident won Little Miss Kazakhstan Grand-Prix

6-y.o. Kokshetau resident Aruzhan Askerova has won the Grand-Prix of Little Miss Kazakhstan national pageant contest, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Express K. The children’s pageant Little Miss Kazakhstan is quite different from adult’s beauty contests. Little girls had to prepare their own act for the Talents Show apart from the traditional catwalk. The participants parodied popular actors and singers and demonstrated national and evening gowns. A girls catwalked in edgy dresses made of toilet paper, feathers, plastic bags, artificial flowers, medical gloves and even brooms was also part of the contest. The winner of the pageant Aruzhan Askerova appeared at the stage in Michael Jackson image and danced samba. Members of jury liked her hand-made costume Jolly Summer and its’ brave mixture of bright colors. The jury awarded the girl with the Child of the Year title unanimously. “I go to a kindergarten and I dream of become a famous dancer. I thought that some Almaty girl will be awarded with the Grand-Prix when I was just going to take part in the pageant. However, I won it. I will travel to Little Miss World contest. I hope that together with other Kazakhstan prize-winners we will compete for the awards at the international beauty contest. Kazakhstan girls are the most beautiful girls in the world. We will make everybody aware about this,” Aruzhan said.
