Tokayev and Putin sign joint statement on strategic partnership

Tengrinews.kz - Following high-level talks, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a Joint Statement on Deepening Strategic Partnership under the New Global Order.

In addition, delegates exchanged the following documents in the presence of the two presidents:

  1. Program for Interregional and Border Cooperation between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia for 2024-2028.
  2. Action Plan for the Implementation of the Interregional and Border Cooperation Program for 2024-2028.
  3. Agreement on Interaction in the Development of Rail Transport and Infrastructure, Highways, and Border Checkpoints along the Kazakhstan-Russia state border.
  4. Agreement on the Reconstruction, Major Repairs, and Maintenance of a Bridge over the Talovaya River between the border checkpoints "Syrym" (Kazakhstan) and "Mashtakovo" (Russia).
  5. Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Diplomas for Maritime Crew Members between the Ministries of Transport of Kazakhstan and Russia.
  6. Agreement on Cooperation in Healthcare between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia.
  7. Agreement on the Use of the 7th Zone of Global Numbering between the two governments.
  8. Agreement on Cooperation in Tourism between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia.
  9. Agreement on the Operation of the Kostanay Branch of Chelyabinsk State University, a Russian federal educational institution.
  10. Protocol on the Renewal of the 2010 Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement on Oil and Petroleum Product Supplies, with amendments.
  11. Cooperation Agreement between Kazakhstan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Russia's Investigative Committee.
  12. Cooperation Agreement between the Ministries of Justice of Kazakhstan and Russia.
  13. Memorandum of Understanding on Legal Regulation of Non-Profit Organizations between the Ministries of Justice of both nations.
  14. Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Justice for 2025-2026.
  15. Memorandum of Cooperation in Construction and Housing between Kazakhstan's Ministry of Industry and Construction and Russia's Ministry of Construction and Housing.
  16. Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Kazakhstan Railways and Russian Railways.
  17. Project Agreement between Kazakhstan Railways, Xi'an Free Trade Port Construction and Operation Co., Ltd., and Slavtrans-Service JSC.
  18. Memorandum of Intent between Kazakhstan Railways and FinInvest LLC.
  19. Cooperation Agreement on the Use of Pollution Reduction Technologies at Power Units 3 and 4 of Ekibastuz GRES-2 between Samruk-Energo JSC and ORGRES LLC.

On November 27, President Putin arrived in Kazakhstan for a state visit. The visit includes high-level discussions and participation in the 20th Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, held via videoconference.

On November 28, President Tokayev will chair the next session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Astana, where delegates will address key issues of regional and international security. Several documents are expected to be adopted at the session.
