Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry commented North Korea's ban of nuclear weapons tests, Tengrinews.kz reports. "Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that Kazakhstan welcomes North Korean ban on nuclear weapons tests and launches, termination of uranium enrichment, as well as access of IAEA inspectors to nuclear facilities," official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry Altai Abibullayev said at the briefing. According to Abibullayev, this decision could help resume 6-party negotiations on nuclear problem of the Korean peninsula. "Kazakhstan, being a country that voluntarily gave up nuclear weapons and closed one of the largest nuclear test sites, stands for the full ban of nuclear tests," the Ministry's official representative said.
