President of Iran Hassan Rouhani is coming to Kazakhstan on his first official visit, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of Akorda.

“Next month we are expecting Presindet Hassan Rouhani to come to Kazakhstan with an official visit for the first time. This visit will give us an opportunity to bring the bilateral relations between our countries to a new level,” President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The President of Kazakhstan noted that political and economic ties between Kazakhstan and Iran had been growing with every year. The upcoming launch of the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railroad is a prime example of growing relations between the countries. This would positively affect trade and economic cooperation in the region, President Nazarbayev stated.

The Head of the State stressed the importance of the soonest resolution of the situation around the Iranian nuclear program for the peace and safety in the region.

“We have made our contribution by hosting two rounds of negotiations of the six countries and Iran in Almaty. We hope that a long-term decision that would satisfy all parties would be reached in the nearest future,” Nazarbayev said.
