The CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) countries are planning to complete armament of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF), Tengrinews.kz reports. “We have clearly stated that this year we will take several measures to increase the role of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. We are fully determined to complete the process of recruiting and armament of the CRRF existing in the CSTO. Many directions of activities appeared because of the latest events in the world, including the ones happening at the Arabian Arch territory. We see all this and we have agreed that we, the CSTO countries, will work on measures to counter the possible threats, first of all in the informational and cyber space,” President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said. Heads of the CSTO member-countries entrusted him to talk to media and tell about the results of informal meeting in Astana. According to Lukashenko, his colleagues asked him to tell that theCSTO member-countries admit the existing shortages, including the internal ones. These are not only problems existing inside the CSTO countries, but also between them. “We have these problems and we have analyzed legal documents that we have recently signed and have announced that by December all these documents will become laws, just as it has been done in Belarus. We currently have no documents that are not yet ratified. Other countries are still in process of ratification of these documents,” the President noted. He also said that the keynote of the event was understanding of the fact that the partners have to strengthen the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Such strengthening will involve “symbolic steps” in the nearest time. Heads of the CSTO member-countries left for Borovoye after the informal meeting.
