Astana to help establish Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian Security Community

Kazakhstan is ready to fully support establishment of the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian Security Community, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official website of the Kazakhstan President. Kazakhstan’s Secretary of State Marat Tazhin met with the outgoing Ukrainian ambassador Oleg Dyomin in late August. “The Secretary of State congratulated him on Ukraine’s chairmanship in the OSCE and reiterated Kazakhstan’s readiness to support implementation of the Astana Declaration, including establishment of the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian Security Community,” the message states. Tazhin thanked the ambassador for his significant contribution into enhancement of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Ukraine. The ambassador replied that during the years of his work in Astana he witnessed successful development of Kazakhstan-Ukrainian cooperation in trade, cultural exchange and humanitarian projects. Ukrainian diplomat stressed that the interstate relations of the two countries were propelled to a higher quality level during the years.
