Flight delays: Astana airport issues warning to passengers

Tengrinews.kz – Dozens of flights have been delayed at Astana International Airport, airport officials said, explaining the reasons behind the schedule changes.

According to the airport’s press service, the airport itself is operating as usual.

“All services are ensuring the arrival and departure of aircraft. Apron cleaning and maintenance of airfield infrastructure are being carried out continuously,” the airport said.

Flight situation

Arrivals:

7 flights delayed;
1 flight on the Turkistan–Astana route canceled (the reasons are being clarified).

Departures:

5 flights delayed.

Airport officials explained that some delays were caused by adverse weather conditions at destination airports, particularly on routes to Shymkent and Kostanay. Delays on flights to Kyzylorda, Almaty and Cam Ranh were due to the late arrival of aircraft.

The press service emphasized that there are no restrictions on the part of Astana airport itself, with both the airfield and terminals operating normally. Passengers are advised to check the latest flight information directly with their airlines.
