Zhezkazgan city in the center of Kazakhstan boasts the lowest bread prices of 64 tenge ($0.4) per kilo. Almaty bread prices stand at 94 tenge ($0.6) per kilo. Bread is not the only food product where Aktau goes through the ceiling. Its meat prices are the highest in Kazakhstan as well. Lamb meat and beef can be bought at 1091 tenge ($7.4) and 997 tenge ($6.8) per kilo in Aktau, whereas the average prices in Kazakhstan are 805 tenge ($5.5) and 815 tenge (5.6) per kilo.
