Air Astana Kazakhstan’s National Airline is set to launch flights to New York, Tokyo and Singapore. That is a task set by the country’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev outlined in his 100 Steps to Take Program.
Air Astana Kazakhstan’s National Airline is set to launch flights to New York, Tokyo and Singapore. That is a task set by the country’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev outlined in his 100 Steps to Take Program.
The Program seeks to develop both Air Astana and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Railways Operator as two major international players.
Air Astana is to be focused on international routes. The Company’s development will be concerted with plans of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy to develop its network of routes.
Among other things, a new international airport is to be constructed in the vicinities of Almaty, the country’s biggest city, in partnership with a strategic investor to launch a truly international aviation hub.
Another task is to enhance efficiency of the air carriage market management to facilitate transit flows across Kazakhstan. The country’s Civil Aviation Committee will turn to the UK Civil Aviation Authority and the European Aviation Safety Agency for best practices.
