Tengrinews.kz – The US dollar continued to weaken against the tenge at trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on December 15.

Tengrinews.kz – The US dollar continued to weaken against the tenge at trading on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on December 15.

By the end of daytime trading, the weighted average dollar rate stood at 519.61 tenge, down 2.63 tenge from the previous session. For comparison, the official rate set by the National Bank for December 15 is 522.38 tenge per dollar.

Earlier, on December 4, the dollar closed at 499.65 tenge on KASE, briefly dropping below the psychologically important 500-tenge mark, a level closely watched by market participants.

According to kurs.kz, current average exchange office rates are as follows:

Almaty exchange offices:

Buying: 516.83 tenge
Selling: 519.99 tenge

Astana exchange offices:

Buying: 514.57 tenge
Selling: 521.61 tenge
