Popular airline suspends flights from Uralsk
Tengrinews.kz — Centrum Air has suspended direct flights between Uralsk and Tashkent. The cancellation of the route was confirmed by the press service of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport.
Earlier, reports surfaced online that the carrier had stopped operating the Tashkent–Uralsk–Tashkent route as of July 5. According to the Uralsk airport press service, the flights were discontinued due to insufficient passenger traffic.
"The reason was an insufficient number of passengers. The route proved to be commercially unviable. Such cases reaffirm that simply opening a flight is not enough to maintain international routes—steady passenger demand is required to ensure the economic efficiency of operations," the statement reads.
The route was launched on March 29 of this year. Flights were operated twice a week but lasted just over three months.
As a reminder, since the beginning of June, two new routes have been launched in Kazakhstan. On June 13, My Freighter (Centrum Air) began flights between Tashkent and Kostanay. Additionally, on June 12, FlyOneArmenia operated its first flight on the Yerevan–Almaty route.
