Kazakhstan is going to test French army armored vehicles Sherpa Scout, Sherp APC and VAB MkIII, KazSpetsExport writes on its website. The company's Director General Asset Kurmangaliyev had talks with President of RENAULT Truck Defense Gérard Amiel during the 11th International Defense Exhibition and Conference IDEX-2013 held in Abu Dhabi.
KazSpetsExport has already started preparation for demo testing of the French vehicles. Besides, the parties agreed that KazSpetsExport and RENAULT Truck Defense needed to interact to fulfill the protocol decision of the second meeting of the bilateral Kazakhstan-French commission on cooperation in armament.
Earlier Kazakhstan Engineering and Turkish Otocar agreed on joint production of military vehicles and cross-country cars and their maintenance in Kazakhstan.
