Flight destinations from Uralsk
According to the Ministry of Transport, regular passenger flights currently operate on both domestic and international routes.
Domestic routes:
- Uralsk – Almaty: 16 flights per week
- Uralsk – Astana: 18 flights per week
- Uralsk – Atyrau: 4 flights per week
- Uralsk – Shymkent (seasonal): 2 flights per week
- Uralsk – Turkestan: 2 flights per week
- Uralsk – Aktau: 6 flights per week
International routes:
- Uralsk – Sharm El-Sheikh (seasonal): 1 flight per week
- Uralsk – Antalya (seasonal): 4 flights per week
- Uralsk – Frankfurt: 1 flight per week
On average, around 50 flights depart from the airport every week, the ministry said.
As for the previously available route Uralsk – Phuket, the ministry noted that it was canceled on January 1 due to low demand. However, it may soon be replaced with a new flight to Phu Quoc, operating once every ten days.
Authorities also plan to increase the frequency of flights on high-demand routes, such as those to Astana and Almaty.
Who owns the airport?
Since February 2023, Uralsk Airport has been operated by Oral Airport Holding LLP.
The Ministry of Transport confirmed that 51 percent of the company is owned by Kazakh investors, while the remaining 49 percent belongs to a foreign investor.
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport announced that a large-scale transformation of Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport and its surrounding area is planned in the capital of Kazakhstan.
