Tengrinews.kz – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev posted photos on his Instagram of horses given to him as gifts and newborn Akhal-Teke foals.
According to the Head of State, he came specially to see the thoroughbred horses.
“Recently, two mares gave birth, and the ranks of the Akhal-Teke horses were joined by new racehorses. I named the first foal Akniet, and the one born after it — Borte,” the President wrote.

On this occasion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev cited a folk saying: "Er zhetilip, bas bolar, tai zhetilip, at bolar" (“A young man, once matured, becomes a leader; a foal, once grown, becomes a horse”).

“I wished for them to become swift-footed racehorses, racing with the wind,” the Head of State added.

As a reminder, in early May the President visited horses that had been presented to him in different years and saw how they were being cared for. In his post, Tokayev emphasized that it is important to continue paying attention to the development of equestrian sports and promoting respectful treatment of this animal in the country.
